Ingredients
  

For the steak

  • 1 pound steak, thinly sliced (flank or sirloin)
  • 3 tbsp coconut aminos (or soy sauce)
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp white pepper (or black)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

For the rice

  • 2 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1-2 green onions, chopped (separate the whites and leave the green to garnish)
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 tbsp coconut aminos (or soy sauce)
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • sesame seeds, garnish

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Steak: Marinate the thinly sliced steak with coconut aminos, garlic, white pepper, and sesame oil. Let rest in fridge for 30 minutes. In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over high heat. Add the steak slices and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  • Stir-Fry the Vegetables: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Add the diced bell pepper and frozen peas and carrots, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  • Combine the Ingredients: Add the cooked rice to the skillet, breaking up any clumps with a spatula. Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil, tossing everything together until well combined and heated through. Create a well and add in sesame oil and 2 eggs, beat eggs. As eggs start to cook, start to mix everything until combined. Return the cooked steak to the skillet.
  • Finish and Serve: Taste the fried rice and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Remove the skillet from the heat and garnish the Steak Fried Rice with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  • Serve Hot: Divide the Steak Fried Rice among serving plates or bowls and serve hot as a delicious and satisfying main dish.
